OKOBOJI INDIANS
The Lazy T Farm Com
We are lovers of the sport of trapshooting and that is our reason for being.
Our 126th Powwow is almost here! High Chief Jim Hughes and his wife Jennifer have a great event planned! Please get your reservations in as soon as possible!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The 126th of the Okoboji Indians will be held September 11 - 14, 2024 at the Hog Heaven Gun Club in White Pine, Tennessee. We are excited to have this beautiful location host our Tribe for the first time in our history.
Our Golf Outing will be Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with the High Chief's Cocktail Partyto follow on Wednesday evening.
We continue to have a number of Braves eligible to join our Great Tribe in 2024! As always, keep an eye out for those that meet our high standards and would be worthy of an invitation to join our Great Tribe.
We had a somber and emotional time at our 125th Powwow as we honored those that have passed on to the Happy Hunting Ground. Please let us know if we have missed anyone as we mourn together the passing of all members of our Tribe.
The LINKS icon to the left will provide more information on overnight accommodations, presquadding and other events for the 126th Powwow as it becomes available. Please check back for more updates.
A REMINDER TO ALL INDIANS. We know that many of you pay your dues when you attend the Powwow. If you did not attend this past year, we still need your money! Please pay your yearly dues promptly. Dues notices are mailed and payments can be sent directly to the Scribe Dave Cates at 2424 Stringtown Road, Evansville IN 47711. Non-payment of yearly dues will impact your Indian status.
PLEASE NOTE: Dues were increased to $150 effective with the 2024 calendar year.
REGARDING CHIEF NAMES: Chief names are sacred and unique and can only be re-used upon the death of the previous name holder. Check with our Scribe if you have questions about the naming process.
We have added some photos and plan to have more photos up on the site soon! If you have a photo, we would be happy to post it in the Gallery.
Continue to check back for more updates!
